Channel 2 Group launches the First Global Cricket Radio during T20 World Cup held on June 2009 in London, UK. Cricket Radio is the first ever Global Radio available on www.cricinfo.com, branded as Cricket Radio Powered by Cricinfo, and aired world wide through:

1. HUM FM Radio in UAE.

2. Sirius Radio Network in United States and Canada. It is also accessible through various mobile networks world wide.

3. Reliance Networks, India

4. Radio Sport in New Zealand.

Cricket Radio is composed of Elite panel of Commentators and personalities including Sunil Gavaskar, Clive Lloyd, Ravi Shastri & Kepler Wessels who will bring a high quality radio commentary available in all venues in UK.

Cricket Radio has also signed an agreement with Cricinfo and Reliance Networks to broadcast radio commentary available through their websites.

The principal focus for distribution is in North America, UK and Europe, with huge significant potential audiences in the Middle East, South Africa and reaching through South Asian countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka via the Internet.

1.The Broadband Marketing Team of Reliance states that ICC audio commentary and webcasting will be primarily targeted to Reliance Broadband customers 1.50 lacs and landline customers 2 lacs.

3. Reliance Global call service is available in eight (8) countries, offering calls to 200 countries across the globe and has approximately 1.3 million customers for Reliance Global Call Services.
